What is it?

"Black Sea Salmon Trout" is the name given to what is known as "Rainbow Trout" (Oncorhynchus Mykiss) farmed in the waters of the Black Sea. Its farming began in the late 1960s, and the lower temperature and lower salinity of the water compared to that of the Mediterranean Sea proved to be the ideal environment for raising this fish!

In Turkey, it's known as "Black Sea salmon" and is valued for its excellent taste worldwide. In Bulgaria, however, it remains little known – and we decided to change that.

Why is it so delicious?

Thanks to the low salinity of the Black Sea, the meat is dense and firm, with a preserved delicate taste. You will recognize it by its characteristic pink-orange color.

How is it grown?

We work with one of the innovators in sustainable aquaculture in the Black Sea. We chose them after personally verifying that their standards far exceed mainstream practices in the industry.
